Eastbound Right Lane of Poydras Street to Temporarily Close Monday, September 30
The eastbound right hand lane of Poydras Street in front of Gordon Biersch will temporarily close for construction on Monday, September 30, 2019, around 11:00 am. to facilitate a portion of the demolition and roadwork that extends into the Poydras intersection. The lane will be closed for approximately three weeks.
The pedestrian crossing at the corner of Convention Center Blvd. by Gordon Biersch Restaurant heading towards the River will also be inaccessible during this time.
Conditions will continue to change; motorists and pedestrians are advised to remain aware of the directional signs and consider alternate routes.
The construction is part of a $75 million safety and beautification plan to convert Convention Center Boulevard into a 7.5 acre landscaped Public Park to be completed in the fall of 2020.
